So what does an old boy from San Angelo know about music? More than you might think...

The picture is as vivid now as it was back then, sitting on his grandparent's front porch every Friday and Saturday night, just a block or so from the Melody Club honky tonk, replete with a crescent moon in the front door and music notes adorning the outside, and plenty of "night life" spilling in and out of the parking lot all night. All of the derisive comments and raised eyebrows by parents and family did little to quell his curiosity about the joint and the world that was waiting for him out there.

But he did not have to go looking for the world... the world came to him over the radio waves. Radios were tuned to either the Grand Old Opry or the Louisiana Hayride. He listened to Earnest Tubb, Hank Williams, Ferlin Husky, Cowboy Copas, and later, Buddy Holly. And then all heck broke loose! The music exploded. But life takes strange and wonderful turns.... If you are open to them....

Larry has been singing for a bizzilion years... a lot of it in the shower, some of it in church, and the rest of it before people who are willing to listen.

In his hometown of San Angelo, Texas, he wrote his first song in the fourth grade, a masterpiece called "Old Umpire Mike" to rave reviews from everyone in Ms. Hawthorne's music class. He wrote a few more along the way during college and then took a long hiatus.

He's now back with a vengeance, writing in every nuance of Texas music: classic country, western swing, blues, americana... or as he likes to call what he does: "Texicana Music"(tm)

Larry writes and sing in many genres... but all of it from his 'Texas' perspective.

Whether it is a quick two-stepping Texas shuffle tune, a beautiful waltz, or a

heartbreaking ballad, you can feel the emotion in his music.
